Chicken and Bread Days Fiddle Contest:

Chicken and Bread Days is held the first Saturday of October from 10:00AM to 4:00PM each year in Downtown Bowie. One of the major events of this festival is the Fiddlers Contest. The Fiddlers Contest is held in the Bowie Fire Department Fire Hall. The most recent event was October 1, 2010 in Downtown Bowie. The Fiddlers Contest has six divisions.More than $3,500.00 in cash prizes were awarded. The event was reported to be a big success. Prizes for this contest are funded by the July Jam event, featured elsewhere on this web site as well as other sponsors. Sponsors include Sewell Usselton Insurance and Real Estate as well The Bowie Bank.
