Area Musical Events Schedule:

Following is a listing of events featuring: classic country music, bluegrass, southern gospel, bluegrass gospel, cowboy gospel, old Christian hymns, western (cowboy -AWA) and western swing in the Bowie, Texas area: For purposes of this web site; the Bowie Texas area is defined to include Montague County, Wise County, Jack County, Clay County and Wichita County. On a case by case basis, some musical events may be listed as far away as the metroplex area.  It should be noted that no musical event in which drug use or possession is tolerated or where alcoholic beverages are served or allowed will be listed on this blog. This is a Christian, and Conservative website that supports Christian and Conservative musical events.

Bowie Friday Night Jam Session - Bowie Senior Citizens Center, Bowie - Friday Night Jam Session – Every Friday Night; starts at 6:30PM to 9:00PM (Acoustic Only)

Silver Strings Entertainment Center, Bowie, Texas – A dance - Every Monday and Saturday Night 7:00PM to 10: PM; $5.00 Admission
Sunset  Jamboree -  4th Saturday of each month; starts at 6:30PM. The event is held in the Sunset Fire hall. Benefits Sunset Community Center (Under Construction)

Forestburg  - At , Forestburg High School, 3rd Saturday of each month; starts at 7:00PM

Bellevue – Jamboree - At Bellevue Community Center,  – 2nd Saturday of each month; starts at 6:00PM

Spanish Fort – 1st Saturday of each month ; starts at 7:00PM
Buffalo Springs Community Center (Old Schoolhouse) - Every Tuesday Night; starts at 6:30PM (Acoustic Only)

Antelope Jamboree - 3rd Saturday of each month at Antelope Community Center located on Loop 187. All musicians welcome. Admission $2.00, benefits the Antelope Community Center.

The Red River Bluegrass Club - An all acoustic jam session every Thursday (with the exception of holidays) at the Recreation Activities Center, 806 N. 3rd in Iowa Park. It is always open to visitors. Soft drinks, coffee and snacks are provided by members. Anyone who wishes to bring their instruments and join in are welcome.  Contact Joy, McCullough, President of the club at 940-692-9783

Southern Gospel Jubilee with Keith Dyer - A Southern Gospel music radio show each Sunday night on 94.9 FM out of Wichita Falls. If you love to listen to good old Southern Gospel Music tune in on Keith Dyer.

Fiddlers Contest, Chicken and Bread Days -The First Saturday in October each year in Downtown, Bowie. The Fiddlers Contest is a major part of the Annual Chicken and Bread Days Festival. Cash prizes are awarded for the Fiddlers Contest.

July Jam - This even is held each July to raise funds for the prize money for the Fiddlers Contest.

Buffalo Springs Jam Session - This event is held each Tuesday Night. It starts at 6:30PM. This Jam Session is all Acoustic. Dr. Terry Sanders, a retired physician is in charge of the Buffalo Springs Jam Session.

Roenoak Senior Center - Pick'n and Grin'n, Every Thursday, 7:00PM
If you enjoy the sound of guitars, fiddles, mandolins, banjos, the piano and the upright bass, you will love these area musical events. You will hear great musicians and singers.
